Service Description:

Physiotherapy
- improves joint range of motion, posture, motor control, balance and functional abilities through a prescribed exercise program
- offers information on how to prevent
maintain or improve physical functionfocuses on the causes of falls and how to prevent themdetermines effective assistive devices to improve safety of individuals such as walkers, canes or crutchesprovides training allowing maximum function and independenceassists individuals with government-funded programs such as Assistive devices program and prescribes mobility aids suitable for individuals needsassists with pain relief
Occupational therapy
- offers comprehensive treatment programs by assessing physical , cognitive, psycho-emotional and functional status of individuals
- assesse individuals in their environment to advise on safety issues
- prescribe and train on assistive aids allowing individuals to function well in their environments
- educates on pacing, pain management and body mechanics
- determines eligibility for government funding for home safety equipment and home adaptations
