Service Description:
|
Provides counselling for youth who are in conflict with the law * offers the following programs:
Community support team:
- provides intensive support and clinical intervention services to high-risk young offenders and their families
- provides individual, family and group-based counselling, skills training, psychological and psychiatry assessment and consultation and referrals to community services
- help youth reduce conflict with the law
- decrease the probability of re-offending
- facilitate re-integration from custody and detention back into the community
Arson prevention program for children and youth (TAPP-C):
- offered to children and youth who have been involved in some form of fire-setting or have been convicted of arson
- provides assessments and counseling services to children and their families
- offered in partnership with the Fire Services of Sault Ste. Marie and Algoma district
