SUDBURY, ON –  On Saturday, February 7, 2015, Laurentian University students hit the stage to raise money for cancer research. The 11th annual “Airbandz for Cancer”, Laurentian University Residence Cancer Campaign, raised $13,000 in support of the Northern Cancer Foundation (NCF).

“The 7 groups did an amazing job, as a judge my job keeps getting harder each year” says Tannys Laughren, Executive Director of the Northern Cancer Foundation. “ A big thank you goes out to founder Michael “Dex” Brown, Joseph McGibbon,
Laurentian University Residence advisory committee and to our local community who supported the event again this year”.

Laurentian University students performed hits from their favourite musical artists in a lip-sync competition.

This year’s 2015 Airbandz was a large success, bringing the total amount of money raised for Airbandz in the past eleven years to over $175,000.
