Service Description: Provides immediate, on-site support and assistance to victims of crime, tragedy or disaster
  • facilitates the connection between the victim and appropriate community support services
  • provides follow up contact to ensure victim has received and will continue to receive assistance, if required
  • provides public education as to the effects of crime and tragedy and the existence of resources within the community

Volunteer opportunities: volunteers receive in-depth and comprehensive training and provide support to victims of crime

Fees: Free
Application: No referral required * services at crime scene available through police or emergency services
Eligibility / Target Population: Victimes of crime of all ages, tragic circumstances or disasters
Languages: English * French
Language Notes: French reception * French interpretation available upon request
