Service Description: This service addresses the needs of children, youth and families who require an integrated and coordinated, community-based crisis management intervention. The service includes 24-hour telephone response, risk assessment, access to appropriate professional and clinical services and supports including hospitalization (where required) and linkage to follow-up services and plans of care. Crisis Response Service will respond to children, youth, and families who are in crisis due to acute suicidal ideation, homicidal ideation. French to follow: Le Service mobile d’intervention d’urgence intervient auprès d’enfants, de jeunes et de familles qui sont en situation de crise. Ce service comprend la réponse téléphonique, l’évaluation des risques et des soutiens pouvant aller jusqu’à l’hospitalisation, au besoin, et la mise en rapport avec des services de suivi appropriés et des plans de traitement. Les services du Service mobile d’intervention d’urgence sont disponible aux enfants, jeunes et familles en raison d’idées/de comportement de suicide, d’auto-mutilation ou d’idées/ comportements de meurtre.

Application: The Crisis Response Service is initiated upon referral to NEOFACS (self-referral, parent/caregiver, teachers, Police Services or local hospitals). French to follow: On fait appel au Service mobile d’intervention d’urgence sur demande de services par l’entremise des Services à la famille et à l’enfance du Nord-Est de l’Ontario (SFENEO), et peut être initié par une demande de l’enfant/jeune, parent/tuteur, personnel scolaire, du service de police ou d’hôpitaux locaux.
