Service Description: Physiotherapy clinic and in home services * health professionals assess and treat conditions that affect the muscles, nerves, and bones that may be caused by work or sports or motor vehicle collision injuries, chronic conditions, or to recover after an operation (hip and knee surgery) * ongoing treatment is provided until physiotherapy needs are met * services include:
  • evaluation and management of injuries
  • manual therapy
  • condition-specific exercise programs
  • posture correction
  • education/teaching/training on proper body mechanics
  • acupuncture treatments / dry needling
  • use of modalities (IFC, ultrasound, laser, heat/cold, TENS, traction)
  • tissue distraction release with silicone cups
  • crutch adjustment/walking patterns/stair training
  • multi functional gym and various cardio equipment
  • walker assessment

Fees: Set fee * physiotherapy services may be covered by OHIP/Episode of Care, WSIB, auto insurance or third-party insurance if eligible * initial Evaluation: $65 * follow-up visit with physiotherapist: $37.50 * follow-up visit with physiotherapy assistant: $22.50 * Walker Assessment: $40 * Free for CPC Programs (Episode of Care and Bundled Care)
Application: No referral required for private pay services * medical referral required for OHIP coverage * medical referral may be required for third-party insurance
In home services: Apply through Ontario Health atHome
Eligibility / Target Population: People requiring physiotherapy services * OHIP coverage for those 19 years and under, 65 years and older, ODSP or Ontario Works recipients, and people hospitalized for at least one night due to an injury
