Service Description:

Provides health care services by a Nurse Practitioner * emphasizes health promotion and disease prevention * practice includes physical examination, some lab tests, ultrasound and x-rays, and prescription of some medications
- minor episodic diseases (eg, respiratory infections)
- sexual health (contraception and sale of contraceptive products at reduced cost, treatment for sexually transmitted diseases, pregnancies and pap test)
- mental health (counselling, follow up and referral)
- chronic diseases (counselling, follow up and referral)
- preventive health services (complete examinations, screening and immunization)
- health promotion (support groups, action groups, workshops and health fair)
