Basic Financial Assistance (Ontario Works)
  • short term income assistance for the cost of shelter and basic needs
  • offers limited Emergency Assistance and Discretionary Benefits

  • Employment Assistance
  • helps individuals become and stay employed
  • provides assistance with job search, basic education, employment placement, skills training, community participation
  • assistance may be provided to client to cover certain related expenses such as transportation, child and clothing

  • Fees: Free

    Eligibility / Target Population: Adults and youth 16 years and older in financial need who meet eligibility requirements
