Funds Raised from HSN Foundation’s Snowflake Campaign

SUDBURY, ON – Health Sciences North (HSN) Foundation held its annual Snowflake Campaign throughout November and December. Every snowflake that was hung on the holiday tree at Ramsey Lake Health Centre supported the Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) campaign to raise funds for two new scanners at HSN.

For the third year, HSN Foundation teamed up with Snow Squad, a local snow removal company, who matched all donations to the Snowflake Campaign. With Snow Squad’s support, a total of $5,480 was raised towards the purchase of new MRIs.

“We were happy to support the Snowflake Campaign once again this year and know that the funds raised through the campaign will go towards the purchase of needed equipment for the hospital,” said Taylor Marshall, owner of Snow Squad.

“Health Sciences North Foundation would like to thank the Snow Squad team for their ongoing support of our Snowflake Campaign,” said Mary Lou Hussak, President and CEO, HSN Foundation. “We are fortunate to partner with Snow Squad to raise funds for the purchase of new MRI equipment in order to enhance patient-centred care by shortening wait times, operating at more accessible hours, and reducing travel burden and costs for patients.”
