Minister Damerla Visits Elizabeth Centre
The Associate Minister of Health and Long-Term Care, Depika Damerla visited the Elizabeth Centre on September 25, 2014.
Minister Damerla was welcomed by Management Team, the President and Vice President of Resident Council as well as the Chair of Family Council.
The first order of business was to tour the home. Minister Damerla asked many pertinent questions for the staff pertaining to our home, as well as our policies to address Ministry of Health Guidelines. Many residents were pleased with her presence and how she was so personable. She visited many resident's rooms to introduce herself and connect with them to hear their stories. After the tour refreshments were served in the foyer area and a meet and greet session was enjoyed by many.
The visit went very well and the staff and residents at the Elizabeth Centre were honoured to have had the pleasure of showing her our beautiful home.
