The North Bay Regional Health Centre is tobacco-free beginning November 1st

Today the North Bay Regional Health Centre (NBRHC) is proud to be a tobacco-free facility.
This means when you come to the Health Centre as an inpatient, outpatient or visitor there is no smoking or vaping anywhere on property. For any inpatients, this means all tobacco products should be left at home.
The Smoke-Free Ontario Act dictates any outdoor designated smoking areas must be removed by the end of this year. Under the Act, if you smoke on NBRHC properties you could be fined up to $5,000 and NBRHC could be fined up to $300,000.
Your health care team at NBRHC is committed and trained to support you with nicotine replacement therapy or information about how to quit.
