Media Advisory/ Media Event HSN Simulation Lab Media Event

SUDBURY, ON – When lives are on the line, you probably don’t care if doctors and nurses are trained differently: you want them to work as a cohesive team.

Such an effort in teamwork is taking place at the Simulation Lab of Health Sciences North (HSN).

90 First-year students from the Northern Ontario School of Medicine (NOSM) and the School of Nursing (French Program) at Laurentian University will team up for a series of life-saving and teamwork skills drills.

HSN’s Simulation Lab uses the latest in high-tech medical mannequins and other equipment to train health care learners and professionals for real-life emergency situations.

Media are invited to meet some of the students and instructors.

This event is taking place Wednesday, March 22nd, 12:45 pm, Simulation Lab, 3rd Floor, Sudbury Outpatient Centre (former Memorial Hospital site), Regent Street.

*HSN Communications will meet media in the main lobby.
